Moving Forward is a long-form podcast that covers a variety of different topics—generally with an underlying orientation to present information that can be used to better understand the world, and to contribute to the bettering of oneself.
Ultimately, to assist in our Moving Forward.
The stated goal is to have an enjoyable & interesting conversation, and to come away with well-produced social media content—long-form, & as many “virally formatted” clips as possible.
You are invited to join Aiden for a long-form conversation on Moving Forward.
Most conversations are held remotely, allowing guests to join from anywhere.
If you are located in—or plan on being near—New York City, where the show is based, let our team know. We would love to explore recording in person.
Aiden Drake is not your average 24 year old.
He opted out of attending university because he was turned off by the state of the current education system, and because there was a knowing in him that called him to pursue his interests elsewhere.
Instead of attending watered down lectures & college parties, he trained Mixed Martial Arts at a world-class gym & listened to Milton Friedman & Jordan Peterson.
For years, he exposed himself to some of the best minds he could find, exploring topics ranging from regenerative agriculture to psychology, and from economics & history to comedy.
Now, he is interested in one thing: becoming a good interviewer.
That is his goal with Moving Forward—to explore a variety of topics through conversations with interesting people.
And, hopefully, to have one of those conversations with you.
Now in his free time Aiden seriously trains a dance style referred to as Bachata, an improvised partner work dance. He practices nearly 7 days a week.
What began as an unserious introduction to martial arts early as a child eventually became a serious pursuit at age 17. Since then, Aiden has trained alongside elite fighters & fight teams, including Gracie Technics and the Longo–Serra fight team, while competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
A childhood love of cooking & fishing for sunfish eventually grew into a deep joy for the outdoors, and an appreciation for being connected to where our food comes from.
Below are some of Aiden’s favorite books, along with some of the people he considers his teachers.
